About The Organizer
The British Thoracic Society (BTS) is the leading authority in the United Kingdom dedicated to improving care for people with respiratory diseases. Established in 1982, BTS brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to advance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of respiratory conditions.
Through evidence-based clinical guidelines, professional education, and world-class research, the Society supports high standards of care for patients with conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, tuberculosis, and interstitial lung disease. BTS also hosts conferences and training programs to facilitate knowledge exchange and foster innovation in respiratory medicine.
The Society works collaboratively with national health bodies, patient groups, and international organizations to shape health policy and promote respiratory health at every level.
