DPW (Digital Procurement World) is the global tech ecosystem for procurement and supply chain, founded in 2019 by Matthias Gutzmann . The organization was born out of Gutzmann's frustration with existing procurement conferences, which he found to be too expensive, lacking in investors, and failing to attract startups critical for digital transformation . DPW's flagship annual conference in Amsterdam has grown from 450 attendees in 2019 to over 5,000 attendees in recent years . The organization has since expanded to the United States, launching DPW NYC in 2024 . DPW is recognized for blending entrepreneurship, technology, and community, bringing together enterprise leaders, tech founders, investors, policymakers, academics, and emerging talent to drive meaningful transformation across the procurement ecosystem
